Driving with Abacus
My name is John Guest. I fully qualified as a D.S.A. Approved Driving Instructor (Car) in 1993. I qualified as a DSA Fleet Trainer in 2008. I have also undergone further training and now hold the Diploma in Driving Instruction (Dip. D.I.), and the City & Guilds 730 Teaching Certificate. I have recently taken an interest in new Coaching methods and have done courses in NLP. These methods are very successful with conquering Driving Test nerves.
Not wishing to become complacent with my own driving I took The Institute of Advanced Motorists Test in 1995 and the ROSPA Advanced Test in 2009. I take a keen interest in the Driver Training industry, involving membership of the A.D.I. Federation, the Driving Instructors Democratic Union (DIDU), and the D.I.A. I am also a committee member for the Blackpool and District Driving Instructors Association. On The Road Training Instruction is available for all ages and abilities, from Beginner to Advanced, and includes PASS-PLUS to qualify for Insurance discount. Perhaps you already have a Full Licence and need a Refresher or Motorway Lesson, or maybe just confidence building. Whatever your needs there is a Course for YOU. All Instruction is done on a one to one basis with no car sharing. If you need to pass your Test quickly one of our Intensive Courses may be more suitable. We can also offer Residential Courses where you can combine learning to drive with a Holiday break.
The D.S.A. recommend the use of Driver Logbooks to record progress and ensure the full Driving Syllabus is covered. When you come to Abacus you will be given our unique Record Progress Report which thoroughly covers the full syllabus, greatly improving your chances of passing your Driving Test first time! Professionally produced Learner Handouts and free loan of Videos supplement your lessons.
Theory Test
Theory Training Help is given with preparation for the Theory Test including the Hazard Perception Test. This can include IN-CAR computer laptop practice if you do not have access to a computer. A selection of CD-ROM's are available on free loan.

I wanted to let you know how much my son Chris has enjoyed learning to drive with Abacus. His lessons were a huge success and he passed his test first time, which delighted him.
